CTG is seeking to fill a Network & Security Engineer opening for our client in Yorktown Heights, NY.

Location: Yorktown Heights, NY

Duration: 12 months with likely extension

Duties:

  • Design, architect, build, deploy, and operate high-availability next generation network, cloud network, and network security compartments using Cisco and Palo Alto technologies.
  • Implement network automation processes and workflows utilizing Tufin and Ansible.
  • Deploy and manage network switch infrastructure including routers, aggregation switches, and end-user switches.
  • Deploy, maintain, and manage next generation security platforms (Firewall/IPS) and network security compartments.
  • Maintain daily network operations for network and cloud infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, WAN/Internet connections, VPN, and cloud networking.
  • Apply and maintain strong security posture and ensure currency and compliance standards are met.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, mitigate, and resolve network infrastructure problems and service interruptions.
  • Support proof-of-concept and next generation network installations while following industry best practices.
  • Manage network changes, configurations, and performance.
  • Provide audiovisual support, including setup and deployment of media equipment (speakers, monitors, cameras, etc.) in meeting spaces and auditoriums.
  • Assist with and support live and broadcast-quality events.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with video conferencing and AV systems, especially Microsoft Teams and Cisco Webex.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on AV equipment and run tests on audio/video signals.

Skills:

  • Expertise in Cisco and Palo Alto network infrastructure and security platforms.
  • Experience with Palo Alto Panorama.
  • Proficiency in Tufin and Ansible for network automation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for both network and AV systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and Cisco Webex video conferencing platforms.
  • Ability to support AV operations for live and recorded events.
  • Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of audiovisual editing software and tools.

Experience:

  • Significant hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing complex network and security systems.
  • Background in supporting AV systems in corporate or event environments.
  • Demonstrated history of operational excellence and adherence to best practices in networking and AV support.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
