Wireless Terminal Certification Specialist – Device Testing

The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of wireless technologies and specifically with an understanding of the wireless network registration/access methodologies used by handsets and other wireless devices.

Responsibilities:

Knowledge of QXDM and ability to analyze QXDM logs to determine root issues

• Conduct the execution of test plans technical specification regarding LTE/VoLTE Network services offered by Canadian Operators;

• Execute test plans for technical requirements regarding 5G, VoWiFi, VoLTE, SRVCC, E911, ROAM, IRAT, LBS and Audio.

• Execute test plans pertaining to the handset client applications (e.g., SMS, MMS, Browser, UAT, VOIP) & connectivity with the network (RAT, RAN, 4G, 5G, VoWiFi)

• Assist in the early evaluation of candidate handsets for suitability in entering the certification cycle;

• Stay updated with wireless standards (e.g. OMA, 3GPP, etc.)

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science/Telecommunications;

• MUST have experiences with tools like QXDM, QPST, and QCAT.

• Experience in the wireless telecommunications industry, preferably in testing wireless devices and services.

• Knowledge of wireless network architecture and Call Flows

• Knowledge of wireless access protocols, registration process, IRAT protocols and Audio WB/NB technologies.

• Excellent understanding of current wireless technologies, including but not limited to, LTE, ROAM, Network Selection, E911, 5G NSA, 5G ASY, and VoWiFi.

• Experience in working with terminal and/or infrastructure vendors;

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

• Strong technical writing skills are highly desirable;

• Well-organized and detailed-oriented person;

• Self-motivated, challenge-driven individual.

Salary: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
