As the Associate Vice President of Network Services, you will guide the enterprise modernizations and operations for network services and telecommunications, participate in broad aspects of Information Technology (IT) infrastructure operations, manage special projects/deployments, oversee ongoing maintenance, ensure systems reliability, and champion best practices and processes. The AVP, Network Services will develop trusted relationships with stakeholders across the organization and partner closely with vendors.

What you’re responsible for:

  • Meaningfully contributing to the development and enhancement of strategic plans ensuring alignment to the business, while monitoring changes in existing technologies and proactively planning to implement technology advances that optimize service delivery.
  • Steering and championing the successful execution of complex network services and telecommunications projects including the implementation of a modernized Cloud based telephony project leveraging Genesys, and the implementation of the infrastructure collaboration capabilities for a state-of-the-art new corporate office build project.
  • Overseeing and elevating network services and telecommunications infrastructure operations to ensure the providence of a high performing, reliable and cost-efficient cloud environment, while supporting Business Continuity.
  • Developing and governing the annual operating budget, monitoring service contracts and evaluating key performance indicators vendor.
  • Set and execute on the strategic direction for the integration of new tools to support our business partners; and identifying cost optimization opportunities to leverage our scale.
  • Leading and engaging your team to deliver strategic objectives through effective coaching and mentoring, identifying and developing emerging talent, and fostering an innovative, collaborative, and agile culture.

To join our team:

  • You have 10 years of progressive experience in IT, including some experience managing a Development and Operations (DevOps), Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Production Engineering team.
  • You have completed a post-secondary degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field.
  • You have experience guiding complex infrastructure operations, championing and providing oversight to cloud projects, and managing vendor contracts and relationships.
  • You have working knowledge of Tele-Communication platforms (ex. Genesys), underlying technical underpinnings of network and voice systems.
  • You have working knowledge of cloud network technologies and operations including some knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS. Having Software as a Service (SaaS) and Zero Trust Network experience is an asset.
