Telecommunications Technician – Charlottetown

The Opportunity:

Based in Charlottetown, PEI, we are looking for a Senior telephone installation technician to join our Communications team for installation, service and repair of customer telephone systems.

The Candidate:
The Candidate must be hard working and possess a natural ability to learn and absorb new technologies. A solid foundation in Voice and IT is crucial to this position. You have strong skills, are self driven, confident and energetic. Your technology savvy, and have excellent communication skills with both customers and co-workers. You enjoy the technical field and take pride in your ability to exceed client and corporate expectations. Requirements for this position also include:

• Associate degree or Certification in a technology services/technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5+ year of experience with Unified Communications (UC) systems.
• Industry and manufacturer specific certifications
• Proven ability to install, service, program, test and troubleshoot key / PBX systems. Related IT experience is beneficial.
• Strong customer/client service orientation with effective communication and interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read blueprints, architectural, mechanical, and electrical documents.
• Familiarity of PBX and other Legacy Voice products.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to safely drive company vehicles.
