Fiber Optic Splicer

TeraSpan Networks Inc is a full-service telecommunications contractor with locations throughout British Columbia. We are currently recruiting for a FIBER SPLICER to join our Burnaby based team.

At TeraSpan, you will be a key member of a network deployment and maintenance team and you have opportunities for training in all facets of telecommunications network construction. At TeraSpan you are not a production type employee, you are a part of a full-service team, and you are critical to the success of the organization.

Primary responsibilities:

· Fiber splicing and testing

· Troubleshooting and repair of telecommunications networks

· Some aerial fiber cable placement (small jobs as required)

Required qualifications:

· Minimum 3 years of fiber splicing experience is required

· Minimum 2 years of testing experience is required

· Clean class 5 drivers license

· Ability to travel for out-of-town projects

· Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $50,000.00-$90,000.00 per year

Experience:

• telecommunication: 2 years (preferred)
• fiber splicing: 2 years (preferred)
• Fiber testing: 1 year (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 75% (preferred)
