Job Description

The Telecom Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of Global Telecom-supported technologies, services, and the technical team. Must have technical expertise in various aspects of telecom, unified communications, and expense management. Must have strong leadership skills, communication skills, and project management experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations involving unified communication systems, carrier services, vendors, and infrastructure technologies.

  • Manage a wide variety of UC & Telephony systems including PBX/VoIP systems, SIP services, IVRs, Auto attendants, call accounting, Genesys contact centers, Microsoft Teams, conferencing, fax systems, wireless, IOT, cloud platforms and emerging technologies.

  • Responsible for the management, administration, and reporting of the call accounting system database, upgrades, reports, and charge-outs.

  • Responsible for providing infrastructure cabling designs and guidance

  • Responsible for working with telco carriers & internal TEM team on provisioning circuits, port orders, and MACDs.

  • Responsible for managing the technical team, on-call rotation schedules, service now ticket queues, project deliverables, and timelines.

  • Responsible for developing, refining, and testing business continuity strategies for continuous process improvements and to minimize system down time. Own problem resolutions and risks mitigation

  • Assist with telecom budgets, quotes, and overall vendor management.

  • Must comply with change management processes and operational procedures.

  • Responsible for performance reviews, performance management and goal setting.

  • Aramark has various operations running 24x7x365. This role is required to oversee urgent and escalated issues and ensure that matters are handled and resolved.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in information technology, computer science, MIS, telecommunications, business administration or combine education with equivalent work experience.

  • 6+ years in a supervisory, management or leadership role demonstrating increasing telecommunications and IT responsibilities.

  • 6+ hands-onnds on telecommunications administration covering the following technologies: PBX systems, call accounting, IVRs, Auto Attendants, Audio/Visual, VoIP, Contact Centers, cabling voice & data infrastructures, cellular services, network moni,toring and troubleshooting.

  • 3+ years in converged & emerging technologies such as SIP, cloud-based services, IOT, Microsoft O365 and cloud services.

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, creativity and organizational skills.

  • Specific technology exposure: Avaya, Cisco, Microsoft Teams, Genesys, Telesoft, Sakon, Sonus/Ribbon SBC & AWS.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Visio.

  • Proficient in networking fundamentals, concepts and protocols to include qos, voip, SIP, Lan/Wan/SD-Wan, mpls, bgp, tcp/ip, udp,
