With head offices located in Richmond Hill ON, WaveStar Networks is a Canadian company with over 15 years’ experience providing a wide array of network infrastructure and communication system services as well as professional and consulting services to Telecommunication/ISP providers, Data Centre operators and corporate/business/public sector customers.

Working to the needs and standards of a large national telecommunications provider, and utilizing a familiar CAD-based UI and spatialSUITE, the SpatialNET Telecommunications Designer produces engineering documents for the modification or augmentation of a Hybrid Fibre-optic/Coaxial telecommunications distribution system.

SpatialNET Telecommunications Designer Responsibilities:

• SpatialNET design work, including fibre input (cable & FOSC with RENS #’s), HFC input & levelling, equipment replacement (taps/linex/PS/nodes/fosc’s) using different profiles.
• AutoCAD drafting work as it relates to cable design (single line diagrams, schematics, MDU/riser plans, etc).
• Provide details and excerpts requested by coordinators, contractors, and clients
• Follow general Rogers UFP/wireline network planning & design rules for FTTH, FTTF, HFC, GPON, RFOG, etc

Other aspects that increase applicant’s value include:

• Previous knowledge of HFC design architectures, specifications, standards, and topologies.
• Previous experience with creating detailed splice packages.
• Experience with HFC node segmentation analysis
• FDH, OLT details (racks, floorplans, PAD/PON forms, etc)
• HFC & RFOG details (MUX/DMUX & Detailed splice packages)
• DDP, FDDP, and other detailed IPE packages
• Power supply analysis, design, and replacement.
• RPATS, RENS, and other ROGERS specific systems
