We are currently seeking a Telecommunications Analyst for our Health Information Technology Telecommunications Department located at 4901 Searle Parkway, Skokie, IL. This is a full-time exempt position and is benefits eligible. Hours will be scheduled Monday-Friday, with the occasional afterhours and weekend work for project support. Ability to work in the office & remotely per Health Information Technology Policies & Guidelines. May require travel to other NorthShore & affiliate locations. Will share on call after the initial training period. This position is part of our Telecommunications team which is responsible for AT&T wireline, and wireless, Avaya Aura CM hardware and software, Avaya Breeze & Avaya Audio Conferencing, AVST (Xmedius) Voice Mail, Carrier Billing, Genesys Contact Center, Mobile Cellular Devices, Motorola 2 ways radios, and pagers.

What you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Experience:
  • At least 4 years of Telecommunications experience desired.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Project Management experience and degree preferred.
  • Bill processing experience preferred.
  • Experience with Avaya CM, Lawson, Cellular devices, Wireline Carrier billing and MDM preferred.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively to a variety of customers.
  • Must have the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
  • Basic knowledge of team procedures, telecommunications utilities, PC operation, Word, Excel.
  • Uses logic and methods to problem solve.

What you will do:

  • Primarily review and process telecommunications invoices for carriers, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Work as a project manager for Telecommunications Projects, Moves, Adds, and changes.
  • Work in Lawson to process invoices, create and Process PO’s.
  • Answer the Telecommunications Department Line.
  • Research and order department supplies.
  • Handle Telecommunications requests as needed for Audio Conference bridge, new phones, and E fax.
  • Order new and refurbished Avaya business system phones, speaker phones and devices when needed.
  • Send out email instructions to users for various Telecommunications services and equipment.
  • Place International Service on cell phones / mobile devices or other carrier rate plan changes.
  • Respond to tickets and assist in troubleshooting NorthShore mobile apps.
  • Update records in the AT&T, Verizon and other carrier portals as needed.
  • Set up pagers, mobile pager apps, and pager profiles in Paging system.
  • Respond to user group requests and participate in user meetings.
  • Complete necessary internal reporting and reports status to management.
  • Assist internal users with installing application software updates, including troubleshooting problems and answering system related questions.
  • May provide application support to other teams with approval of Telecommunications Director.
  • Support Telecommunications after hours on call once a quarter.
  • Actively track Telecommunications expenses, contracts and maintenance renewals dates and costs.
  • Work as an active team player / member of the Telecommunications department.
  • All other duties as assigned.
