Requirements of the Construction Manager

  • BS or BA degree and/or 3 years of experience in a related or relevant field.
  • The ability to function autonomously and to make timely, effective decisions.
  • A high level of PC proficiency is also a key requirement. Must be able to effectively use the Microsoft Office software line, such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
  • AutoCAD drafting experience is preferred.
  • Experience in field implementation of cable systems and/or central office engineering & installation is desired.
  • General Telecommunications experience either engineering or installing fiber optic multiplexers or cross connect systems would also be desirable.
  • A degree in a technical discipline would be preferred.
  • Existing or able to obtain a DoD security clearance.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work under pressured deadlines while remaining positive and flexible.

Responsibilities of the Construction Manager

  • Responsible for the supervision of in-house and sub crews
  • Ensure proper resources are available.
  • Accurately and effectively prepare written material for team..
  • Assist in finding and removing potential roadblocks.
  • Ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for management of underground workers
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with the team.
  • Recommend needs for new positions and recommend promotions for the team
  • Make sure all employees have a safe working environment.
  • Recommending design changes to PM for project.
  • Meet product and project goals and manage different reports.
  • Train and lead new employees
  • Attend construction meetings.
  • Attend certain project meetings.
  • Work closely with Project Leaders and other employees, schedule, update, and identify operational issues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Work Location: One location
