As the business continues to grow, our external cost management becomes ever more important and a focus of the CFO and Head of Procurement & Commercial Operations (P&CO). With that, the business continues to grow in our Reading & Fareham offices, overseeing 500+ suppliers and partners managing £250m investment.

The Procurement Commercial Analyst is responsible for gathering financial and operational data from across the organisation, from RFP’s market data, financial markers i.e CPI, RPI, Inflation, Interest Rates etc and providing critical commercial assessments and analysis of the data. This role will sit in Procurement supporting where needed the wider finance team and assisting in driving the positive financial direction of a company.

This role works cross-functionally with all the businesses material categories led by the Category Managers. This includes identifying, assessing and assisting in investment opportunities, risk management, developing strategy for commercial negotiations, preparing and supporting contractual datapoints, analysing contractual terms and conditions alongside the CCM team, developing and coordinating company position(s), advising management of contractual costimpacts and obligations.

With safety ALWAYS paramount, this person oversees the commercial operations and costs impacts including but not limited to international, governmental and taxation changes, across the business covering all in-life agreement(s) and investments across a wider spectrum spanning delivery, payments, safety, debt and escalation(s) as defined centrally by the SLT if required, or independently where they are locally owned by each department.

Reporting to the Senior Commercial Operations Manager, the Procurement Commercial Analyst is responsible for supporting the underlying commercial performance of commercial contracts and programs, assisting in the development of cost negotiation strategy(ies) supporting both complex supplier engagements, RFP’s, BAFO and investment cases reviews, to ensure coordination within and across internal teams and lead multi-divisional contract negotiations (linked to Fern Group). The individual will analyse where needed business requirements and spend patterns, cost analysis developing where needed process flows and use cases Liaising with internal/external stakeholders in order to analyse and support Category Managers with sourcing events and decision making recommendations, within an Ethical Trading environment, delivering savings and efficiencies’ within a legally robust framework.

The be successful in this role you will need to have prior experience in the telecoms / fixed infrastructure sector. You will possess excellent interpersonal skills and abilities to engage with stakeholders and matrix teams across the business and our partners. The Procurement Commercial Analyst will be a strong and effective decision-maker, effective at interpreting complex and multiple sources of information to make decisions and Exec/Board recommendations.
