Chemours is seeking an experienced Category Manager-Waste Management Services and Industrial Cleaning to join our Indirect Procurement-Asset Management Team. This is a highly visible, key role within the Company and the Procurement function. The position will be reporting directly to the Global Asset & Site Services Manager. The successful candidate will be the face of Procurement and will manage the Chemours Global Waste Management and Industrial Cleaning Category.
The Capabilities for Success for the Category Manager-Waste Management Services and Industrial Cleaning role include the following:

Develop and nurture strong working ties with Site Leadership, Operations Teams and Chemours Internal & External Stakeholders.

Collaborate with Business partners to align on strategic goals and enable effective local execution of critical procurement activities to include Global Supplier Management – due diligence, selection, qualification, approval, monitoring and supplier performance.

Conduct analytics, review market intelligence, evaluate benchmarks and best practices to drive continuous improvement across category/portfolio.

Evaluate Vendor type – Strategic, Maintain or Exit.

Match strategy/supply to Business Unit/Site needs.

Drive Site BCP – Risk Assess and Mitigate legal, commercial, quality & regulatory matters.

Develop/Manage the Strategic Supplier identification & exit strategy.

Self-awareness – knowing and understanding what drives, motivates, frustrates, and inspires you.

Adaptability, Patience and Conflict resolution mindset.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Partner and collaborate closely with the site(s) leadership and Corporate Environmental Teams to ensure strategic and tactical alignment to Chemours’ needs, goals and regulatory requirements are met.

Manage all Waste Management and Industrial Cleaning at Chemours Operating and R&D sites as BOR (Buyer of Record).

Key liaison with Business Units.

Participate as a key member of Chemours Waste Services Team.
-
Align with stakeholders and functions on strategy and value delivery.

Manage supply & market risks and communicate internally.
-
Own Strategic Supplier Relationship & escalation Path as needed.

Strategic conduit to supplier.
-
Develop Code of Conduct, NDA’s, Contracts, QA Agreements, payment terms with Strategic Suppliers.

Manage Portfolio TCO & deflation metrics.

Partner with respective Site Procurement Leads to determine supplier fit.

Other duties as required which include providing Site Buyer Support.
The following is required for this role:

Strong continuous improvement experience-Six Sigma GreenBelt or similar certification required.

Strong attention to detail to ensure compliance in a highly regulated environment which include compliance with consent orders.

Ability to analyze and develop accurate conclusions to support category decisions based on key data.

Strong people management and persuasion skills to manage and influence at all levels of the company.

An analytical mind with strategic ability to develop and improve TCO.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The following is preferred for this role:
-
College degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Engineering

Strong Procurement Leadership background
-
5+ years of chemical, manufacturing, or related industry experience and knowledge related to purchasing, continuous improvement and materials management.

Strong Written and oral communication skills.

Teamwork and collaboration experience in a distributed global environment.
