The Telecom Services Business Analyst provides technical and budgetary insight & support for Synchronoss’ telecom activities. In part, review, analyze, and maintain Synchronoss’ telecommunications circuits. Be involved in the procurement of any new circuits. This role provides operational support that encompasses business and financial analysis, ordering activities, inventory management, and Excel-based report customization. Task work includes providing basic financial/budgetary support for Synchronoss’ enterprise telecommunications circuits; vendor financial management that includes auditing invoices; ordering activities to include cost estimates, configuration recommendations, reconciliation, tracking, and coordination; maintaining inventory of service requirements for budgeting and invoice validation; evaluation of vendor price proposals; internal cost recovery of services; documenting processes and procedures and analyzing them for improvement; maintaining/developing advanced Excel-based spreadsheets and manipulating them to effectively manage data sets; customizing and generating reports in response to ad-hoc queries, and serving as the key telecommunication services data analytics expert on the team. The role requires interfacing with technical team members, vendors, and company leadership. This position seeks a candidate who is proactive and demonstrated success working independently with minimal supervision.
How you will help::
- Generate and maintain accurate data circuit database which includes corporate services and Data Center/project circuits, numbers, and equipment
- Understand the various vendor portals and provide reports or raw data to other business units that have a need to view voice and WAN usage and charges
- Verify vendor annual spend meets vendor master service agreements

Circuit Provisioning:
- Gather requirements from business unit
- Request quotes from multiple vendors
- Track circuit build until handoff to network engineering is complete
- Decommission circuits after network team has submitted request
- Track and resolve billing disputes/discrepancies with various carriers; present escalation issues, status reports and findings to IT Budget Office management
- Work with IT Budget Office personnel to:
- Perform an annual budget analysis
- Submit requisitions and receipt monthly invoices after charges are verified
- Submit requests for any discrepancies in billing
- Manage external vendor relations and participate in negotiations of annual telecommunication-related renewals (circuits, systems, etc.)
- Manage daily workload through effective prioritization and communication

- 2+ or more years’ experience managing telecom vendors and/or accounts
- Intermediate Knowledge with Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables and Macros), Visio and Project; Excel data transformation services desirable
- Working knowledge of the Internet, public & private cloud, and systems technologies
