Fibre Splicing Technician – FTTH / MDU

We currently have immediate openings for Fiber Technician(s) in the GTA. Candidates would possess a strong work ethic, good communication skills, be a team player, positive attitude, take initiative and a desire to excel within company opportunities.

Responsibilities will include all aspects relative to Fiber Optic splicing and testing within FTTH and MDU. The position is full time, consisting a minimum of forty (40) hours per week. Successful candidate(s) must have a minimum of 2 years experience, a strong work ethic and must have a valid Ontario Drivers license.

Requirements include and not limited to:
Experience on telecommunications network

Troubleshooting experience required

Splice and test various types of fiber optic cable

Can read system maps

Can operate all types of splicing and testing equipment

Will be able to document all required information on drawings as work progresses

Familiarity with tools, equipment and techniques of the trade

The ability to work in all weather conditions, confined spaces, isolation, and at heights

The ability to work in a physically demanding industry

Self-disciplined, motivated and organized individual

Will perform all other duties as required by departmental manager
