The Network Function Virtualization (NFV) Cloud Infrastructure DevOps team at TELUS is looking for YOU – a dedicated team member who draws from your technical expertise to make a meaningful impact!
Our team is at the forefront of cloud technologies, providing foundational technologies and support across all TELUS services through software defined infrastructure and NFV. We design, build, and operate cloud environments for our internal services. You will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, keeping you at the edge of this emerging technology.
You will have a focus on both development as well as operations, collaborating with the rest of our DevOps team on this high-profile infrastructure, ensuring it is stable, reliable, and flexible. At the core of your strengths is your ability to see the big picture – you understand that your contributions are integral to keeping TELUS ahead of the technological curve, while enabling our customers to grow and prosper.
Here’s how
Provide support for production Red Hat -based infrastructure, such as RHOSP, RHEL, RHV, and Satellite
Work in partnership with various development teams, operational support teams, project managers, vendors, and internal clients
Determine, establish and implement operational requirements to support new infrastructure applications/systems
Perform incident management, root cause analysis and implement stability solutions for distributed applications or systems across multiple environments
Develop and maintain new features, and present to stakeholders
Create and maintain support documentation for the infrastructure
Qualifications
You’re the missing piece of the puzzle
Minimum 2 years work experience in Red Hat Open Stack
Minimum 5 years work experience in an operational role with Cloud, Data Centre, Infrastructure or XaaS
Recognized for your in-depth working knowledge of Linux (system admin level) and virtualized server platform implementations (KVM)
Experience deploying, operating and troubleshooting an OpenStack environment with a thorough understanding of its different components
Sound networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and MP-BGP on platforms such as Linux, Juniper Contrail, and JunOS
Experienced with DevOps Tools: Gitlab, Ansible, Docker, Terraform, Heat, Slack
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
Great-to-haves
Experience in solving technical and process challenges with repeatable, automated solutions
Experienced with monitoring and assurance tools: Appformix, Pagerduty
Telecommunications industry experience
Openstack, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Juniper or Cisco certification
