Computer/Laptop Repair Technician

Basic Duties & Responsibilities

· Performs primary diagnosis and repair failed devices using a variety of diagnostic tools

· Drives continuous improvement on test yields, work in progress (WIP), test coverage and no trouble found (NTF) reductions

· Collects data and interprets failures

· Performs test on repaired devices as needed

· Utilizes process documentations such as but not limited to the following: BOM’s, Visuals, Debug, Repair, Testing tools, repair manuals and procedures

· Electronics Technician or Technologist or A+ Certification or Equivalent Degree/Diploma

· Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Outlook)

· Must have prior experience repairing electronic devices, capable of debug, rework and functional tests and OS upload – should be able to open and close various devices at ease

· Technical work experience preferred

· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

· Ability to elaborate the failure analysis to support team

· Must have the capability to navigate with minimal assistance

· Ability to operate a personal computer using a Windows operating system/related software

Minimum Target

· Ability to repair 8 laptops/desktop per day

· Ability to test and screen 50 units per day
