Role Summary

We have an excellent opportunity for a Sales Engineering within our North Americas Technical Sales team for a presales with experience within the Radio Access Network/Network Core/Small Cell industry.

The Sales Engineer position will work closely within a small team and will report to the North Americas Sales Engineering Head.

This position will ideally be be based in Canada with travel throughout the region, but can also be based in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

Identifies how Mavenir can credibly address some of the customer’s key initiatives related to RAN/Core and small cell products

Articulates the advantages and disadvantages of Mavenir and third party solutions in comparison to competitive offerings.

Create, update, and customize sales collateral related to Mavenir solutions for specific customers’ requirements and sales opportunities.

Work directly with sales as a product and technology expert to align Mavenir solution to meet key customers specific requirements.

Demonstrates a good overall understanding of the mobile telecommunications industry, its products, services and technologies.

Demonstrates an understanding of the details of protocols in mobile networks and associated standards and interface definitions.

Demonstrates ability to author technical elements of RFx response.

Job Requirements

Successful track record in technical pre-sales in the North American wireless telecommunications industry – a direct pre-sales and in-depth technology related experience in the RAN/Core and small cell market is a must

Solid understanding of LTE and wireless technologies and understanding of small cell landscape including vendors/products/key attributes

Solid understanding of operator radio, core and IT networks including IT/OSS integration requirements for commercial rollout of small cell service

Highly proficient listener & consultative sales style with the ability to shape customer thinking

Excellent communications skills in verbal, written and presentation forms at senior levels

Acute attention to detail and organization

Energetic and creative with an upbeat, positive attitude

A team player who works well with others, who has strong influencing skills, and is creative and entrepreneurial

8+ year cellular wireless industry experience in a senior level business development role.

Knowledge in NFV MANO /SDN is plus.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Masters Degree preferred.

Ability to travel often throughout region
