Headend (Telecom) Technician

CEIs Fortune 30 Client in Media and Telecommunications is adding a Headend Technician to their West Chicago team! This team services Batavia, Oswego, Naperville, Lisle, and Campton hills.

• Long term contract with potential for extension and/or permanent placement
• Contract offers optional benefits (401k, Dental, Vision, Medical)

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for installing, testing, operating, maintaining, and repairing headend equipment.
• Periodically tests all equipment and the quality of signals throughout the cable network.
• Maintains required logs, records and other documentation pertaining to headend operations.
• Conducts quality control tests and measurements on new installations.
• Assists in the fault resolution of RF, IP, and Digital Video networks.
• Resolve break-fix issues alone when selected for on-call rotation.

Required Skills:

• Strong RF/Telecom background
• Experience troubleshooting fiber and testing continuity
• Basic computer skills

Nice to have:

• DC Power / Generator / HVAC experience
• Data Center experience

Pay: $40.00 – $44.00 per hour
