Rigger/Aerial Technician Sr. and Jr.

WaveStar Networks is currently looking to add a number of qualified Sr./Jr. Aerial technicians to our teams with the GTA region. These positions are for the upgrading, repairing, rebuilding and preventive maintenance activities of roof top and low Cell towers located in and around the GTA.

With head offices located in Richmond Hill ON, WaveStar Networks is a Canadian company with over 15 years’ experience providing a wide array of network infrastructure and communication system services as well as professional and consulting services to telecommunication/ISP providers, data centre operators and corporate/business/public sector customers.

Responsibilities:

• Involved in the build of Wireless sites on rooftops, lattice towers, guy towers and monopoles.
• Tower climbing, tower rigging
• Installation work on building rooftop, use of rappelling equipment and use of staging required
• Install steel, cable tray, conduits, antenna mounts, antennas, waveguide ports, transmission lines and various wireless construction requirements.
• Responsible for performing all general ground procedures associated with the installation of antennas and mounts on a communication tower or rooftop.
• Install various antenna and transmission lines along with ancillary equipment on communication structures including remote radio units.
• Ensure the proper inspection and use of personal safety equipment.
• Work with communications tower structural steel.

Requirements:

• Experience in installation of various transmission lines and connectors
• Experience in performing orientation of microwave antennas and alignment of cellular antennas
• Knowledge of communication cabinet installation on rooftops and tower bases
• Certified in fall protection practice and procedures
• Certified with high angle rescue procedures
• Valid Driver’s license (Abstract Required)
