You’ll be part of planning team seeking for business opportunities to Rogers in the major markets in Quebec to provide either or both wireless and wireline solutions for buildings, high rises, malls, offices etc. Your planned solutions will not be limited to In-building DAS but also could include GPON
What you’ll be doing
Plan, budget, and initiate expansion projects to support network evolution and to meet subscriber demand.
Develop and analyze alternative options to provide management with recommendation for deployment of cost-effective solutions that meet organizational objectives.
Develop analysis algorithms to use geodata sources and other network statistical data to identify the most beneficial investment opportunities for in-building infrastructure.
Monitor market performance and develop solutions to improve customer experience.
Collaborate with Rogers for business unit
Conduct competitor market gap analysis and competitive analysis to understand competitor’s plans and tactics.
Support other business units within Rogers on radio access network (RAN).
Prepare cost estimates for budget requests.
Maintain current knowledge of vendor technology, evolution roadmaps and investigate applicability to address Rogers’ needs.
Lead the development and maintenance procedures for planning processes. Communicate this procedure within the planning team and other groups.
Establish effective communications plans inside and outside department.
Provide executive level professional presentations of engineering plans and recommendations.
What you have
Bilingualism (English and French) is a requirement.
Minimum 6 years of work experience in a wireless environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills in dealing with colleagues, the management team, and external partners
A keen eye for detail that helps efficiently detect and solve problems
Analytical thinking skills
Knowledge of basic computer programs and concepts such as scaling, database analyses, and software interfaces
Effective time management skills
Ability to build strong client and business relationships
University Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Telecommunications) preferred. Professional designation is preferable.
Strong understanding of Wireless Network functionality and elements for GSM/HSPA/LTE and 5G
Familiarity with in-building design experience would be an asset
Extensive experience in development of complex business and technical modelling to determine feasibility and to drive beneficial outcomes.
Experience managing and tracking projects.
Strong business acumen.
Strong organization and presentation skills including proficient use of PowerPoint and experience in delivering highly effective executive reporting and presentations.
Ability to provide direction and guidance within department and to internal and external to groups.
Ability to operate autonomously, within general direction guidelines.
Capable of delivering high quality work on a tight schedule.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Knowledge of Excel, Access, statistical analysis tools, geolocation tools, Mapinfo, PowerBI
