The Senior Consultant, Market Intelligence and Analytics, will have broad reaching influence and impact, informing the business of changes in the Canadian and global B2B market landscape, to identify trends, buyer expectations, threats and opportunities.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Planning and Insights, this individual will provide reporting and analytical insight to Marketing, Product, Sales and Service organizations to support day-to-day operations and strategic planning. This individual will play an integral role in decision-making at multiple levels of management through complex analyses, predictive modeling, data definition and standardization, reporting, as well as sourcing external data from 3rd party relationships.
The successful candidate has a talent for grasping complex business challenges to provide relevant insights and recommendations. He/She/They will leverage their business acumen, analytical skills and resourcefulness with an ability to collaborate cross functionally.
This role crosses multiple disciplines and the successful candidate will be confident operating in a high-paced environment involving direct interaction with senior leaders (Director/VP/SVP). This individual will work across all BBM Product and Marketing functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver market intelligence and analytics to support product development, sales enablement and GTM strategies.
Conduct market sizing/opportunity studies to identify new growth markets and segments.
Collaborate with BI, proposal management & pricing to distill changing market dynamics and customer insights (e.g. win-loss analysis, value of customer, value to customer).
Develop and implement processes, procedures and policies to improve data gathering, analysis and intelligence dissemination
Manage syndicated reports within our analyst relations hub – improving accessibility and curation, summarizing data, and sharing insights to help inform key decision makers
Collaborate with peers on primary research initiatives to ensure they align with needs across product, marketing, sales, and serve and maintain a repository for ease of access
Skills & Competencies required:
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, particularly in the area of customer and competitor/industry analysis, with an ability to extract strategic themes and quickly draw meaningful conclusions
Ability to gather and analyze a variety of data points (qualitative and quantitative) to develop and share the most relevant insights for the business.
Ability to forge strong internal and external relationships and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
Passion for uncovering business needs and opportunities, and aligning efforts to ensure timely implementation
Growth mindset and problem solving mentality, leveraging internal and external resources to find creative and strategic solutions.
Passionate and results oriented, with a strong business acumen and an ability to balance stakeholders’ and customer needs.
Self-management and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight timelines.
Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills.
Familiarity with complex sales and product lifecycles and their respective pressures on the organization to drive demand and revenue.
Preferred Qualifications:
University degree in Business, Marketing, or a related area. MBA is an asset.
5+ years’ experience in a B2B environment with high-tech products services.
Previous wireless and telecommunications experience is preferable.
Quantitative and qualitative research experience and analysis, knowledge of data visualization
