Project description:

As System Engineer / Administrator you will be responsible for operations of virtualization layer, hardware, firewall, and operating systems. In addition, you will manage both physical and logical access to configuration items and help in documenting cloud and datacenter routines.

Tasks:

• Setup and operations of virtualization layer, including Vmware, VMs etc. as well as operating systems
• Operations of IT system hardware, including HSM, servers, clusters and storage
• Plan and execute changes to the IT infrastructure, including coordination, planning and notification about changes
• Manage physical and logical access to configuration items
• Setup and operations of monitoring dashboards
• Managing document cloud/datacenter routines (e.g. incident, problem, change, periodic reviews)

Skills:

• Professional experience as System Engineer / Administrator in a cloud or datacenter environment
• Experienced in setup and configuration of virtualization layer, hardware, operating systems, firewalls, monitoring, and/or routing protocols
• Good knowledge of Linux, preferrable RHEL or RH Satellite
• Know-how in complex software/infrastructure solutions as well as ITIL processes and Service Management
• Good knowledge of virtualization with VMWare products, e.g. vCenter, vSphere, PowerCLI
• Skilled in RedHat and Ansible
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Quality-conscious and problem-solving mentality with good communication skills als a big plus would be:
• Experienced with tools like Nagios/Icinga, Commvault, Splunk, Terraform and/or Jenkins
• Service specific knowledge related to payment, telecommunication and OEM solutions
• Fluent German skills
