Role Purpose:
To provide telecom support to meet client goals and expectations in a remote setting.
Job Description:
Telecom Technician (Tier 3) responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Activate / Work / Suspend network and customer related maintenance activities
- Open / Work / Close network and customer related trouble and impacts
- Provide technical consultation, coaching and mentoring for Tier I technicians
- Participate in active outages and post-outage reviews with a focus on quality / efficiency / effectiveness / communication
- Participate in Network / System / Customer reviews and audits in the interest of establishing consistent and foundational improvements
- May provide assistance with projects related to core responsibilities of the role
- Customer & Vendor Management
- Work with broader / related teams within Company to drive quality results / processes
Position Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field is required
Experience:
- At least five years of Telecom Tech support experience is required
- Must have 5 years working at a telcom provider (Lumen, Windstream etc.)
- Must have 5 years working with DWDM (Infinera, ciena, Nokia)
- Must have 5 years working with SONET (Nortel, Cisco, Fuji)
- Must have 5 years NOC experience
Skills and Certifications:
- At least 5 years of familiarity w/ 24x7x365 NOC environment and trouble tracking processes
- Experience with Salesforce highly preferred
- Technically able to adapt to the situation to drive progress
- Excel / PPT / Word Applications
- Analytical Awareness and Quality Focused
- Ability to communicate effectively at various levels within and outside of the client’s organization
- Must have a valid vaccine card
Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Pay Rate: $80,000 to $100,000, based on experience
Schedule: To be discussed during interview
