Position Description:
The Director of Marketing Communications will be tasked with for leading the overall planning and strategy to support growth in their portfolios. You will be the expert in the execution of the marketing strategy and the rollout of very diverse campaigns in the national consumer market. Your team will be planning and executing media, developing and executing creative, event and public relations strategies, as well as leading our Virgin Member Benefits program strategy. Overseeing performance, the Director will work closely with our marketing, pricing, brand and operations teams to help drive the company’s success.

Job Duties/Accountabilities:
Oversee the flawless execution of the marketing communications strategy for all portfolios under the umbrella of the position: Multicultural, Lucky Mobile, and Member Benefits Marketing Communications

For all portfolios, tasked with briefing of campaigns, management of creative and media process, ensuring brand consistency, interfacing with agencies and reporting on ad performance

Manage planning and execution of multicultural campaigns for Bell, Virgin Plus and Lucky Mobile, including targeted mass media, digital, web, in store, events and public relations

Oversee brand and marketing communications for the Lucky Mobile brand, including mass media, digital, web, app, in store, events and public relations to drive new prepaid activations and pre-to-post programs

Tasked with strategy, roadmap planning, partnership acquisition/maintenance, sponsorship, events, app and web development for our best in class Virgin Plus Member Benefits program

Leverage Virgin global partnership for brand and partnership opportunities

Work closely with marketing peers to share and leverage audience, cultural, brand and/or category insights

Collaborate closely within the organization to develop compelling marketing communications campaigns, including marketing strategy, pricing, brand, legal and channel sales teams

Lead or support projects, operational enhancements, P&L reviews and other initiatives under the scope of the role

Communicate project status, issues and results to business unit and senior executive teams

Optimize plans based on key performance metrics and communicate out results to key stakeholders

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
Experience leading marketing/communications/brand teams

Strong understanding of digital and traditional advertising and marketing communications strategy

Creative mind, questions status quo with desire for innovation

Possess strong presentation skills and experience providing updates to senior executives

Strong interdisciplinary orientation across multiple marketing and communication functions

Preferred Qualifications:
Business degree in marketing communications or any related field

MBA an asset

Possess previous wireless and telecommunication experience an asset

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
