Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Project Manager will support Telecommunications projects and be responsible for the operational and financial performance of designated regions.

What You’ll Do Here:
  • Responsible for the performance of direct report staff: Project Coordinators / Field managers and administrators.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end performance of regional sub-contract partners.
  • Responsible for the financial performance of designated regions including the development of the annual business plan for each region and the ongoing management of financial performance to ensure business plans targets are being met.
  • Responsible for the budgets and preparation of monthly financial results designated regions
  • Provides overall direction to designated regions to ensure that bidding strategy is implemented to optimize revenue and margin to meet divisional targets.
  • Provides direction to designated regions regarding divisional and corporate Strategic Plan, ongoing strategy and policies: this includes ensuring strong relationships with developers, builders, city and municipal entities as well as local client team representatives.
  • Reports issues to the General Manager regarding financial performance, workload status, potential legal issues and potential opportunities.
  • Prepares development and succession plans for key positions in the department.
  • Approves all expenditures and proposal pricing within limits of authority.
  • Maintains personal contact with major clients, unions and suppliers.
  • Ensures that all activity in the designated regions is consistent with corporate and divisional strategic plans, business plans, policies and procedures.
  • Conducts performance reviews and establishes performance goals for employees.
  • Provides meaningful mentorship and guidance to the team.
What You Bring to the Team:
  • Experience in Telecommunications industry and within a leadership role.
  • Completion of a post secondary program with a specific focus on business, construction or civil engineering.
  • PM degree and / or PMP certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the financial performance of a business unit.
  • Proven leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Project Management expertise.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, accurately and under pressure.
