General Description: The Field Test Engineer position is intended to be a technical resource within the ArcLight Wireless Field Test team that can function independently or within a team working with more senior engineers primarily testing mobile devices against carrier test plans and specifications.
– Starting compensation is based on experience.

– Must Already be in Seattle, WA area
Primary Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Perform feature conformance; voice processing and data performance testing, software verification and issue management on mobile products with technologies such as 5G, LTE, VoLTE, Carrier Aggregation, CDMA, GSM, and Wi-Fi to ensure delivery of testing services that meet client’s requirements.
- Perform testing and engineering services for wireless clients in both stationary and mobile locations
- Report results in a clear and concise manner to management or customers
- Ability to manage yourself and develop your own solutions to problems and issues
Work Experience Requirements:
- Two or more years of experience with testing of wireless technologies
- Newly graduated engineers will be considered for some roles
- Experience with Field Interoperability testing for major carriers i.e. Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, AT&T, US Cellular and other carriers
- Field Testing or Carrier Specific Software Validation testing
- Log file analysis and debugging
- Able to travel when needed
- Excellent PC experience, familiar with Windows Office, saving files, creating folders, installing device drivers, troubleshooting common Windows problems
- Experience with different mobile operating systems such as Android and iOS
- Dependable, trustworthy, good attention to detail, organized and efficient
- Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science in related engineering major (EE, CS, etc.) or equivalent experience.
