We are looking for a communications professional who understands how to build strong narratives, create compelling content, and drive results. In this role, you will use your expertise to help execute strategies to protect and advance corporate reputation, engage employees, and enable business results. You will also thrive in our fast-paced, high-energy working environment and build strong relationships both across Rogers and externally. This is an immediate opening for an experienced Communications Manager who will support the Wireless Business Unit. This position reports to the Director of Communications, Wireless.
What you’ll be doing:
Manage and execute internal and external communications programs to support and promote Rogers Wireless business and reputation
Produce and deliver effective employee and leader communications program
Develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional colleagues to align on shared goals and strategies
Develop content for leader communications programs, internal and external news releases, articles, videos and infographics
Build and maintain excellent working relationships with journalists, influencers, and other external stakeholders
What you’ll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in related field plus 5-7 years of experience in external and internal communications
Experience and interest in influencer programs, media relations, and communication program management
Excellent writing skills with an ability to translate technical concepts into consumer-friendly language
Ability to take initiative, be resourceful, highly accountable, and proactive
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines in a fast-paced corporate environment
Relevant experience in telecommunications and technology industry is considered an asset
