Telecom Project Coordinator (Data Analysis & Salesforce)

CEIs Fortune 50 client in Media and Communications is adding Telecom Design Project Coordinator to their team in Elmhurst, IL. This team designs and manages optical fiber and hybrid-fiber coax node splits, cut-overs, node segmentation, and other capacity engineering projects from end-to-end.

• This is long-term contract with potential for extension or permanent conversion
• Pre-budgeted pay rate of $33.00-37.75 / HR + Benefits (health/medical, dental, vision, and 401k)
• Remote position for candidates currently in Central or Eastern Time Zones. May eventually return to offices periodically

Core Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the design / layouts for HFC, Fiber Deep, FTTx, and other OSP projects aimed to expand service area
• Assist teams by tracking milestones and project statuses of new node implementations, node segments, fiber cut-overs, coax layouts, field muxes, and other capacity engineering initiatives.
• Modify existing fiber optic cable designs, creating fiber splice documents,
• Using existing documentation, AutoCAD, Spatial, LodeData and Salesforce (P2) among other software.
• Review completed design for errors and efficiency.

• Supports Field Specialists and leadership team with documents and reporting.

Requirements:

• Must have specialized knowledge of Network Engineering, Construction, and Fiber Management with excellent communication and computer skills.
• 2 or more years of experience in telecommunications, OSP, Hybrid Fiber-Coax (HFC), ISP, broadband, Fiber Optics construction environments preferred
• Experience with AutoCAD, Micro-station, Spatial, LodeData or ESRI is preferred
• Visual design skills are a strong plus
• Knowledge of easement, right-of-way, and permit documents is preferred
• Competence in design methodology, process, and metrics
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with other team members
• Experience with Salesforce or a similar project management tool is highly preferred
