Turn-Key Communications is the leading Telecommunications company in Northern Ontario. We are seeking a responsible individual who has a desire to learn technical skills and put them to use. The right candidate must be able to climb ladders, work from a bucket truck, do manual labour and be willing to work out of town regularly. Duties

  • Place, label, and identify Cat3, 5e, and 6 voice/data twisted pair cable
  • Install phone, audio, cameras, PA and network cabling and hardware
  • Install CATV distribution cable, hardware and in-home wiring
  • Install Satellite systems
  • Test and troubleshoot CATV Outside Plants
  • Build pathways for cable (cable tray, ladder rack, J-hooks, etc.)
  • Terminate/label work-station outlets
  • Troubleshoot and test voice/data cable
  • Set up and use industry standard test equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications

· Input project as-built information

· Meticulous workmanship and organization skills are essential

· Able to carry step ladders of various sizes, 28ft extension ladder and work in elevated areas including aerial buckets

· Be able to contribute in all areas of our business which includes line construction, aerial and underground cable placement, structured data wiring projects etc.

· Willing to work underground in a mining environment

Requirements

· Certified Network Cable Installer certificate or equivalent experience is an asset

· Valid G license with clean drivers abstract

  • Knowledge of fibre and all related tools used in the field

· Be able to complete all company supplied safety training courses

· Service Common Core underground training an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Structured wiring: 2 years (required)
