Commercial Manager

Due to the continued success and expansion of Magdalene we have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to be part of our team in Glasgow.

Magdalene is a leading telecom services supplier offering a complete end to end service across the UK and Ireland. Magdalene provides specialist services to our clients in the fixed, mobile and utilities infrastructure networks for both public and private sectors of the market. Our services include acquisition, design, construct, rigging, first line maintenance, managed services, capital project delivery, complete network outsourcing, smart metering and satellite solutions.

The role & responsibilities:

Working as an integral member of the senior Contract team, the Contract Commercial Manager will be required to provide a first-class end to end service that includes supporting the commercial interface with Magdalene’s customer and a supply chain of circa 40 suppliers.

You will:

• Track and report on Contract revenues
• Liaise with finance to trigger associated billing
• Review and approve associated supplier invoices
• Complete the monthly revenue reconciliation activity to apportion overhead costs between the various elements of the Contract
• Commercial validation of Project High Level Designs in order to optimise revenue and risk
• Liaise with the finance and operational teams to support profitability analysis of the various elements of the Contract including Project delivery
• Maintaining the commercial systems and databases for the Contract.
• Supporting Contract commercial variation submission and any negotiation with the Customer
• Liaise with the Commercial team to facilitate in-life changes to the Contract and work orders placed under it
• Ensuring that the wider Contract teams are compliant with commercial processes

Supply Chain:

• In-life contract Supplier performance and commercial relationship management
• Ensuring work orders are properly formed with scope and risks passed down the supply chain as appropriate
• Working with the Contract team and Magdalene Procurement to design, develop and conclude new subcontract solutions as the need arises
• Working with Magdalene Procurement to source and develop competitive subcontract solutions to enhance operational and commercial performance for the Contract
• Ensuring that Supplier details are held. maintained and updated on SharePoint(e.g. Supplier Price Lists, Approved Supplier Lists, etc).
