Your opportunity

This role is based in the Simulation and Digital Twin team in Deloitte Consulting. The work involves creating solutions using simulation & optimisation techniques that add value for our clients, across sectors such as aviation, automotive, retail, logistics, telecommunications, and others. We work closely with colleagues across Consulting who bring expertise in strategy, data science, visualisation and data modernisation to provide holistic and compelling solutions that offer our clients a unique way to solve some of their most challenging issues.

Your role

As a Senior Consultant full stack engineer you will work closely with simulation engineers, data scientists and managers to deliver proof-of-concepts and production deployments for our clients. Your expertise will be critical to enable them to access data, visualise output and deploy robust solutions for our clients.

Your professional experience

You will ideally have experience working with simulation engineers, data scientists or similar and will understand their basic workflow.

Essential

• Professional experience using Javascript/TS
• Front end technologies like React and styling using css or JS styling modules like styled components, tail wind css
• Familiarity with version control and unit testing. DevOps experience would be helpful.
• Experience within a highly technical environment, solving complex problems.
• Good understanding in client-server architecture and web protocols
• Solid understanding of relational databases.
• Demonstrable ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Desirable

• STEM degree
• Understanding of the UI and UX concepts
• Previous experience in consulting
• Previous commercial experience in data and analytics applications.
• An outside interest in programming reflected by a blog / portfolio, GitHub, Bit Bucket profile or personal website.
• Understanding and knowledge of some of the following:
• REST, GraphQL , Redis, Redux/ Flux, PostgreSQL, MongoDB or other NoSQL, Docker, Babel, Eslint
• Understanding of infrastructure platforms like (specially around deployment and scaling):
  • Azure DevOps, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Firebase
