AscendTek, a telecommunications company, is now hiring a National Scoping Manager to work nationwide.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel nationwide
- Minimum 2 years of construction experience in the Wireless industry or 3 to 5 years’ experience as a CM or PM and/or estimating in the Wireless Industry.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office
- Must understand how to build a site, from a construction and pricing perspective
- 5 to 7 years of telecom construction knowledge related to LTE, UMTS, and ETTCS.
- Familiarity with site acquisition
- OEM equipment and integration experience
- Ability to create an accurate and executable Scope of Work (SOW) for the required site.
- Experience with RFDS, Site Surveys, Construction Drawings and Photos
- Knowledge base of the AT&T, Verizon Matrix, T-Mobile, and Dish: Drivers to create Scope of Work
- Ability to relate labor and equipment drivers to ensure a 1:1 relationship
- Experience with systems such as NORAD, FileNET, FUZE, Scopeworker, NexsysONE.
- Good understanding of engineering concepts
- Relevant experience in wireless technology and telecommunications, with emphasis on site design including acquisition, construction, RF, cabinet builds and power
- Working knowledge of UMTS, GSM, LTE, 5G, and Small Cell
- Proficiency in office computer applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
- Working knowledge of industry standard materials
Essential Job Functions:
- Creating an accurate and executable Scope Of Work (SOW) for the required site.
- Construction/modifications based on documented information made available to the Scoping Engineer such as RFDS sheets, Site Surveys, photos, Construction Drawings, and any other customer provided documentation deemed necessary.
- The SE will create the Bill of Materials (BOM) that accompanies this SOW considering all site nuances such as RAD center, number of antennas, number of lines, number of sectors or specific characteristics of the site that require specific/special tasks or material to complete the job.
- Quoting the SOW and submitting these quotes as required for starting the budget creation and material ordering process.
- Populate the quote with the appropriate labor and associated material required to complete the SOW, and will push the quote through to Project Controls. Modify the quote as required per the Project Manager (PM) through the life of the project. This will include any change to the SOW due to unforeseen circumstances and “true ups” as the project progresses and as it closes.
- Applying their industry knowledge and logic to all SOW’s, BOM’s, Quotes and requested modifications, raising questions, and seeking solid, economically sound solutions with the market Implementation Team to any challenges that arise.
- Collaborate with operations as well as other parts of the organization for vendor needs
- Provide feedback to vendor sponsor/markets for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and business.

Pay: $90,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
