Years of Relevant Experience:
4 years of combined work experience in any combination of the following: evaluating effectiveness and risk of it processes, recommending changes in IT procedures to meet customer needs, and evaluating and/or researching hardware and/or software solutions and providing feedback to project team or higher-level staff including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description.

Completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems

Provides technical IT consultation, guidance, support and recommends innovative solutions of best practices and/or industry standards to optimize building specific IT assets, infrastructure and electronic systems in DAS owned and managed buildings (e.g., computer automated parking garage systems, fire system monitoring systems, building automation systems, video/camera systems, security card access systems, emergency panic alarm systems, elevator control system monitoring, structured cable plan, fiberoptic backbone infrastructure):
- Works closely with the DAS Office of Properties and Facilities (OPF) to ensure building specific IT assets, electronic systems and infrastructure are compatible and compliant with DAS/OIT managed services and networks, compliant with OIT policies, procedures, and practices, and competitive to the current industry standard and best practices.

Leads IT driven change efforts for building specific IT and electronic assets within DAS owned and managed facilities:
- Evaluates effectiveness and risk of IT processes
- Recommends changes in IT procedures to meet customer needs
- Evaluates and/or researches hardware and/or software solutions and provides feedback to project team or higher-level staff. Interfaces and/or performs work with other applications or platforms
- Assists in providing IT consultation and recommendations for implementation, ensuring services are not compromised
- Provides technical IT leadership for integration of various related systems
- Participates in and/or provides technical IT assistance to achieve project tasks/meet deadlines

Reads and interprets schematics, blueprints and technical wiring diagrams:
- Participates in and/or leads activities to achieve project task/meet deadlines
- Works with vendors, other specialists and/or agencies to solve integration problems
- Prepares detailed optimization proposals and cost estimates; prepares written reports of all systems and the network capabilities at each facility
- Responds to emails
- Attends training; participates in meetings & committees
- Responds to emergencies 24 hours/day, 7 days/weeks
