OSP Engineer – II

Title: OSP Engineer
Location: Brooklyn, NY (Hybrid)
Duration: 18+ Months

HYBRID MODEL: For now 2 days in the Office and 3 remote. However, Engineer’s job may require field visits which require travel to the field if and when it happens on a work remotely day.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 4+ years of experience
• Familiar with Block and buildings surveys
• Familiar with securing permission in written form from property ownership/management for the installation of new or rearrangement of existing telecommunications facilities.
• Familiarity with OSP engineering and/or construction design in an urban environment.
• Presentation of right-of-way documentation in a timely manner.
• Negotiate in good faith for permission to place facilities on-site.
• Understanding of telecom infrastructure, both fiber and copper.
• Attend Condo and/or Co-op Board meetings also work with Greenfield developers.
• Address and respond to phone inquiries and e-mail communication related to property surveys and securement.
• Familiar with ICGS review and design prints to issue to construction.

Familiar with Telecommunication systems (MMS, BDMS, Vbuild and other OSP systems)

• Address Certificate of Insurance and Legal/Indemnification Requests.
• Utilize effective engineering principles to reduce overall build cost.
• Candidates should have a driver’s License and be able to utilize their vehicles for field surveys.
