Moby Installation Technicians learn, work, live and play within the major downtown urban centers we serve in Alberta.

As an Installation Technician in Calgary you will be an integral part of our team in providing exceptional fibre optic connectivity and customer service to our existing and prospective subscribers by helping us deliver Internet | tv | phone services.

Under the guidance of our CTO and close team environment, your efforts will be focused on:

· Performing fibre optic installation of services in building telecom rooms (knowledge of fibre, coax and CAT-5/6)

· Diagnose and troubleshoot line connections and repairing in-suite technical problems and damaged lines

· Ensure customers are supported when choosing self-install options along with demonstrations on how to connect devices to WIFI, use of TV PVR and remotes, etc.

· Maintain documentation and records of installations and line assignment

· Maintain open communication with customers on installation and repair appointment changes

· Perform building headend equipment installation, diagnostics, upgrades and repairs as necessary

· Perform datacenter backend equipment diagnostics, upgrades and repairs as necessary

· Perform other duties as required

Required Qualifications and Skills:

· Outgoing energetic personality that loves to engage and meet new people

· High School Diploma

· Computer knowledge in Microsoft Platform and Networking protocols

· Valid driver’s license with clean record and personal vehicle

· Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role

· Experience in Telecom installations required

· Ability to work some evenings and weekends – On call rotation

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
