General skills

  • 5+ years relevant work experience in integration as part of complex solution design, delivery and migration for major companies on leading technologies

  • Proven experience as integration architect and delivery lead in complex transformation programme from strategy through to execution:

    • Integration strategy and architecture

    • Integration design (service catalog, High Level Design, Low Level Design)

    • Agile / iterative delivery

    • API and ecosystem management

    • Operational management of integration including performance, security and monitoring.

Architecture and design skills

  • Ability to understand complex problems to define options and solutions considering business and technology impacts

  • Ability and proven track record to consider the business, application, data, integration, infrastructure, security and other non functional aspects dimensions to shape and deliver future proof architectures

  • Ability to operate within multidisciplinary diverse teams to shape and deliver high quality products and solutions

  • Ability to drive and enforce continuity & traceability of information – across diverse stakeholders – throughout the transformation stages and therefore delivering fit for purpose solutions in line with strategic objectives.

  • Ability to drive, inform and influence the decision making process within relevant governance authority

  • Ability to discuss the merits and trade-offs of using any particular design approach and technology

  • Good integration architecture and design pattern

    • Protocols and formats SOA, Rest, JSON, XML, etc

    • Microservices

    • Error handling

    • Automation

    • Event driven architecture

    • API and ecosystem

    • Identity and Access management

    • Cloud to Cloud integration & Cloud to On Premise integration

    • Front end and back end integrations, network and infrastructure management.

  • Good knowledge of the multiple facets of integration to enable modular solution:

    • Design of business services and management of data / integration in line with requirements and use cases

    • Holistic understanding of the E2E solution to develop and manage a coherent integration service catalogue (reusability and governance)

    • Advanced technical knowledge of the leading integration patterns and protocols

    • Governance and operational management of integration leveraging DevSecOps (CICD, container, etc)

    • Performance, scalability and security and other non functional requirements

  • Solid understanding of solution, data & security aspects:

    • Solution: E2E solution architecture, business process, data flow, SaaS and other type of Cloud and On premise applications

    • Data: Enterprise data model, data modeling, Master data management

    • Security: data normalization, secured perimeter, Identity and Access Management, Role Based Access Control, encryption / decryption

  • Broad knowledge of integration vendor landscape

  • Hands on experience and certifications for one or several key player(s) including Mulesoft, Google Apigee, Informatica, Openshift and Hyperscaler integration solutions (AWS, Azure, Google)

  • Proven track records and ideally certifications on key leading architecture and integration standards (e.g. TOGAF), delivery standards (e.g. SaFe, Scrum, etc).

Collaboration and teaming skills

  • Used to work in fluid environments under Agile and iterative delivery models.

  • Experience to work across diverse stakeholders in a multidisciplinary environment

  • Ability to leverage diverse industry experiences to enrich recommendations with broader perspectives


Baseline consulting skills

  • Good analytical and problem solving skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication

  • Organizational ability to manage and work on multiple projects / tasks

  • Adaptability to the client needs and industry areas

  • Experiences across one or more industries including Energy & Utilities, Retail and Consumer, Telecommunications Media and technology, Finance

  • Coaching and mentoring other resources

  • Continuous learning to remain up to date and informed of the latest trends


To be successful in this Solution Architecture Manager role you will need

Solid understanding and experience to shape and deliver robust leading solutions in complex and fluid environments.

Strong integration architecture background and ability to team up with other architecture specialists to enable leading E2E solutions.

Ability and experience to work in teams within fluid multidisciplinary context.

Ability to not only shape but also deliver complex solutions.

Broad knowledge of vendor landscape, ideally with leading certifications or will to pursue certifications.

Solid understanding of Cloud market and technologies.

Adaptability to continuously learn and develop the necessary skills to progress and stretch yourself.

Strong autonomy and drive to ensure quality progress and outputs.

Ability to deal with ambiguity and define relevant next steps to bring clarity and progress.
