Low Voltage Technician
Skills required:
- Reliability and dedication.
- Termination, splicing, troubleshooting, and testing of fiber-optic cables.
- Knowledge and experience with OTDR testing.
- Knowledge and experience with a variety of connector types.
- Troubleshooting faults and defects in fiber-optic cables.
- Comfortable and willing to work outdoors in various conditions and environments.
- Comfortable working in manholes and utility buildings.
- Familiar with various types of fiber patch panels, pigtails, patch cords, splice boxes, and connector ends.
- Familiar with different types of fiber cables and specifications.
- Knowledge of connecting fiber to network switches/routers.
- Experience with, and willingness to mount hardware and use power tools.
- Clean driver abstract and willingness (if needed) to provide a clean criminal record check.
- Communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently without supervision.
- Willingness to travel to rural locations in British Columbia for an extended period.
Details:
Can start immediately.
Full Time
$30/hr to $45/hr depending on experience.
MUST be willing to travel to rural areas of British Columbia.
