The Purpose of the Role
This Content Manager role is integral to the dynamic Marketing team, reporting directly to the Head of Creative and Content. You’ll deliver against our content strategy framework, using content to elevate our hero brand moments, to create product consideration by supporting the sales funnel or improve customer experience – with helpful information to resolve pain points. You’ll monitor & share progress. And help shape future content plans. You’ll act as a content consultant, where required, to Agencies, Partners, Heads of Product Management, Communications, Customer Service, Operations and IT.
This is a critical role, shaping the brand purpose, driving revenue, customer satisfaction, and profitability for Post Office.
Principal Accountabilities
- Imaginative and able to guide creative with your vision. Whether that be conceptual, developing a strategic response to the practicalities of fine tuning a script
- Manage the content budget and calendar. Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders from across the business to ensure the delivery of through the line content that elevates Post Office.
- A creative guardian. Great at reviewing assets, interpreting brand guidelines and providing feedback or support
- A self-starter who would also be comfortable creating their own content/scripts/copy
- An opportunist. Always looking to maximize success, either by suggesting a potential outreach opportunity through to integrating social listening, for reactive content
- Comfortable managing the production process. That could be an external agency or an in-house design resource
- Keen to understand customer needs and deliver creative based on insight
- Commercial reporting. Able to share success across the business and build in test and learn frameworks to constantly fine tune and improve
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Demonstrable experience in media, brand and influencer marketing, with hands-on experience in both strategic and tactical execution
- A commercial understanding that enables you to report results and guide future decisions
- Financially astute, ability to understand performance and drive results
- Strong internal and external stakeholder management
- Possesses a creative eye and copywriting ability
- The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (in terms of report writing, presentations etc.) for a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, up to senior management level
- Excellent influencing skills and the ability to interact and build relationships with colleagues both within and outside of the Post Office, up to senior management level
- Likes to engage and challenge the norm; able to negotiate with and provide constructive feedback to others to achieve a successful outcome
- Highly organised approach to work; with a strong focus on accuracy, production processes and producing high quality work
- Results oriented and solution focused, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with tight deadlines
- Can demonstrate confidence, resilience and the ability to be proactive, while also being able to follow instructions and provide support to the Head of Creative and Content
