Network Engineer

Our client is looking for a Network Engineer with Data Center operations experience – build/maintain rack, cable, power, High Availability options, capacity planning and forecasting, disaster recovery/business continuity and architectures. Troubleshoots highly complex data, voice or video network and hardware problems. Administers and maintains a wide variety of network devices for Local Area & Wide Area networks, datacenters, wireless infrastructure, firewall devices and telecommunications equipment.

Experience Needed:

1. BS or BA degree in computer science or related field preferred.Related Cisco Certifications required, active CCNA preferred.

2. Minimum 7 years’ experience with back-end network infrastructure technologies in both a design/engineering and operational capacities.

3. Cisco (FTD and ASA) firewalls.

4. Layer 2 switching technologies (STP, port-channels, layer 2 loop prevention

5. Cisco Catalyst and Meraki switching/wireless

6. Experience configuring EIGRP, OSPF and BGP on both Cisco and Juniper network devices in a large and complex network environment.

7. Cisco Call Manager and Unity (a plus)

8. Experience with Cisco Nexus Datacenter Switching

9. Experience with Cisco ACI desired.

10. Experience with MPLS is desired.

11. Experience with SD-WAN technology desired.
