This position designs, maintains, and supports network services for the Digital Dakota Network. A broad base of communication and security technologies are supported with a focus on supporting Juniper, Cisco, and Fortinet products. Other skill sets needed include: personal computer support, firewalls, routers, wireless networking, local area network design, and LAN switches. Travel will be required at times to diagnose problems, install hardware, and meet with clients.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A degree in Technology Engineering or related field preferred but not required.
Knowledge of:
- TCP/IP and LAN protocols;
- local and wide-area network technologies;
- telecommunications theories;
- design and operating principles of communications systems;
- operating protocols and connectivity;
- communication systems software and hardware;
- customer service techniques and principles.
Ability to:
- diagnose and resolve network problems;
- evaluate and implement new technologies;
- coordinate activities with clients, contractors;
- communicate information concisely and accurately, both oral and written;
- provide effective communication to clients and stakeholder;
- work in a team environment and independently;
- write and update technical documentation.
