Position: Senior Communications Systems Engineer (Telecommunications Networks)

Location: National Capital Region (NCR) – VA, MD, DC, PA

Supinf Technologies, LLC (www.supinf-tech.com) provides SETA support to the US Space Force in developing and acquiring space systems and satellite communications solutions. We are looking for a senior level Communications Systems engineer. You will join a team of strategic thinkers, technologists, subject matter experts, and systems engineers to architect enterprise systems in which commercial space and satellite services, systems, and technologies will play an essential role.

As a Senior Communications Systems Engineer, you should be customer and solution oriented. You will apply systems engineering practices in program management, strategic planning, communications systems architecture development, and technology evaluations. You should have experience in federal and DoD communications networks and systems, with a focus on satellite and wireless communications. The position requires extensive collaboration with DoD stakeholders and coordination among end users, commercial technology vendors and service providers. Communications and presentation skill should be exemplary as you will be expected to brief management and leadership periodically.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct requirement analysis, translate high level user needs to detailed technical and engineering requirements and documentations.

· Develop new concepts, systems architectures, and development roadmaps.

· Evaluate emerging satellite and wireless communications technologies and conduct analysis for technology readiness level (TRL), cost, and deployment timelines.

· Participate in working groups with federal, commercial industry, and DoD stakeholders, represent the client to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaborations.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in STEM disciplines

· 5+ year of experience in systems engineering, satellite communications, telecommunications networks, wireless communications, or cybersecurity

· Knowledge of commercial and military space and satellite systems, networks, terminals, and network management systems.

· Strong ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations

· Capable of applying systems engineering methodologies to develop architecture artifacts, technology briefings/white papers, and technical reports.

· Active DoD Secrete Clearance, TS/SCI preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $78,250.26 – $164,197.97 per year
