Central Utility Services (Central Tel) is recruiting a Full-Time Coax Splicer. As a Coax Splicer, you will produce high quality work while using specialized skills in splicing, activations, testing, troubleshooting and more. Responsibilities:

• Splice, sweep and troubleshoot existing aerial and underground coaxial cable
• Optimize new Nodes and splice in node splits to reduce capacity
• Utilize RF Meters and TDR (time-domain reflectometers)
• Read CATV telecommunication design and prints

Qualifications:

· OSP telecommunication construction experience; cable experience

· Experience in splicing, balancing, and documenting CATV systems

· Knowledge with both Shaw or Telus Standards is necessary

· Ability to read and build from blueprints and/or wire diagrams

· Possess a valid driver’s License (Class 5)
