Fibre Optic Splicer

Fibre Optic Splicer – required immediately at Granite Electric Ltd. for full time permanent position(s). We are looking for individuals who show mechanical aptitude with a positive attitude. Successful applicants will demonstrate a desire to learn and succeed through team dedication.

Duties will include Fusion Splicing and Terminating of both inside/outside fibre optic cables. This positions scope includes both construction and maintenance of fibre optic systems within the Calgary area. Some travel may be required within the majority of day to day work within the Calgary area.

Applicants need to have basic computer knowledge, experience with Microsoft Office,

Adobe and Exfo Fast Reporter would be an asset.

It would be beneficial for applicants to be well experienced in fibre optic fusion splicing techniques along with strong trouble shooting and testing skills.

Applicants should possess their own vehicle with a clean driver’s abstract, no criminal record and good communication skills.
