Construction Project Field Manager – Telecommunications

Vision Utility Services, a communication construction company, is seeking a Construction Project Field Manager for their Topeka, Kansas office. This hands-on position will oversee and coordinate various projects in the telecommunications construction field from start to finish, monitoring subcontracting crews, ensuring that schedules and budgets are followed. Also responsible for maintaining the Topeka facility.

• Seeking a candidate with experience in telecommunications construction or utility construction.
• Provides leadership in initial planning stage by collaborating with clients or other involved parties; develops detailed description of jobs and materials necessary to complete project.
• Schedules and coordinates projects in logical steps and budgets the time necessary to meet each deadline.
• Plans, coordinates, organizes, oversees, supervises in house crews and directs activities regarding the construction and maintenance of assigned structures and jobs.
• Ensures safety standards and guidelines are followed on the jobsite and that all safety codes are met in construction.
• Responsible for Quality Control, ensuring the installation and clean up meets the customer’s standards.
• Collaborates with clients, supervisory staff, to discuss and resolve problems, including work procedures, complaints, and construction issues.
• Develops and maintains good working relationships with a variety of people, including owners, managers, supervisors, contractors, and customers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year

Experience:

• managerial: 2 years (Preferred)
• Construction: 2 years (Preferred)
