DHC Communications Inc. is a full service technology integrator based in Nelson, BC. We are a constantly evolving, innovative, company who work with the latest technology. We have grown exponentially since our inception 19 years ago and have plans to continue to grow.

We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced project manager who has an established career in the electrical, telecom or low voltage trade.

The project manager will assume primary responsibilities of all aspects of a project or job. Strong leadership and organizational skills in a professional manner are essential in this role. You will be responsible for the overall performance and quality of individual projects to meet strict industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Main point of contact for all assigned project communications, changes, inquiries and requests between DHC personnel and customers, general contractors and public.
  • Overall management and organization of project budgets, deadlines, resources, documentation and labour force.
  • Thorough estimating and quoting for internal and client approval.
  • Project planning, organization, and development.
  • Educating customers and assigned staff on a job’s vision, details, components and changes.
  • Continuous, professional client communication.
  • Conflict resolution related to both internal and client related issues.
  • Providing status updates to department heads and ownership.
  • Working with all levels of each department in the company.
  • Working with quoting and business management software.
  • Thorough understanding of all employee job descriptions and capabilities.
  • Thorough understanding of DHC’s products and technical capabilities
  • Providing team oriented solutions for project deficiencies

Technical Qualifications

  • 3+ years of previous Project Management experience
  • Experience in Telecommunications and Electrical trade
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent team building skills
  • Strong Customer Service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Office 365
  • Experience working with a project management software is an asset

  • Must have a clean class 5 drivers abstract
