Buck’s Communications is hiring an Aerial Linemen for Fiber & Copper placement in the Piedmont- Triad area of North Carolina. You will be responsible for building and maintaining overhead and underground infrastructure with fiber optic and copper cable. This will be accomplished through Telsta bucket work, digger derrick pole work and pole climbing with belt & hooks.
Typical work week is Monday – Friday 7:00 – 4:00 with occasional Saturday work. Pay is dependent on experience level and is weekly direct deposit. Benefits include: Health, Dental & Life Insurance and Paid Time Off. Must have valid driver’s license. CDL is a plus but not required. Must be able to pass a drug and background check.
Duties and Responsibilities will include pole setting and fiber placement, lash cable (strand and overlash), rope and roller, pole pulling or installation, anchor and down guy installation, placing hardware, anchors, slack storage, terminals, duct rodding, jetting mule tape, underground cable pulling and setting handholes.
The position will also include responsibility for maintaining safety of the public and crew members at all times in the work area. Must be able to work in a safe manner, adhering to OSHA and DOT regulations and standards directing road safety, flagging of traffic, sign and cone placement.
