Responsibilities

MaxLinear is seeking a Systems Integration and Test Engineer to join our Broad Band Access System Team that verifies our broadband gateway solutions with focus on the 10G/2.5G PON subsystems. In this role, you will focus on the following:

• Integrate and verify 10G/2.5G PON subsystems to ensure sufficient test coverage and quality to declare productive releases.
• Define test & automation concepts, detailed test case specifications based on standards, customer requirements and additional internal technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain system verification test cases (Python, Tcl), including automation.
• Execute and monitor system tests according to the QA regression test plan and specific verification plans depending on release focus. Analyze test results and document detected issues in Jira tracking tool.
• Reproduce, debug, and track internal and customer issues.
• Create and propose solutions for customers, review of customer designs.
• Innovate and collaborate with agile software, firmware and customer support teams regarding test evaluation, qualification, analysis and debugging as well as in the failure analysis.
• Together with your colleagues, define evaluation and reference platforms (inputs to schematic/layout and review)
• Bring-up and optimize evaluation and reference platforms.

Qualifications

• Programming skills in Python, C/C++, Tcl are beneficial, as well as some understanding of version control systems like GIT, Mercurial
• Willingness to do hands on work with oscilloscopes, traffic analyzers, as well as soldering irons
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English for working in an international environment, good German desired.
• You have a successful degree (or are about to graduate) in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or similar.
