Responsibilities – Work you’ll do:

  • Monitors routers and switches for bandwidth usage and throughput; reports information to team.

  • Research WAN and LAN network communication sizing needs.

  • Coordinate with DISA for Communication Service Request.

  • Support RTS Modernization Engineering efforts as required Research WAN and LAN network communication sizing needs.

  • Ensure network device configuration and documentation comply with DoD and Army Regulations (including STIG and SCAP documentation).

  • Coordinate with DISA for Communication Service Request.

  • Support RTS Modernization Engineering efforts as required Proactively researches, analyzes trends and recommends steps towards implementation of optimizing network & communication infrastructure objects.

  • Reviews existing instructions, guidelines, standards, and policies seeking continuous improvement.

  • Oversees the collection, understanding, documentation and analysis of application or infrastructure processes that impact the delivery of IT Services to the business.


Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or other related field and less than 2 years of experience (additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree).

  • Experience with writing documentation, procedures, and best practices in technical environments.

  • Demonstrated experience with legacy PBX technologies and/or VOIP system support and operations.

  • Demonstrated experience in telecommunications wiring, cabling, and general best practices.

  • Ability to manage Microsoft servers and Hyper-V implementations.

  • Ability to manage VMWare technologies.

  • Ability to assess and recommend security control improvements and identify compensating controls.

  • 8570 Relevant certifications.

  • Experience with ticketing systems.


Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education – Favorable if you have:

  • Relevant knowledge of data/voice networking principals.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms.

  • Working knowledge of, Microsoft Office Suite, including MSWord, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and other software deemed necessary to perform job duties as stated.

  • Ability to communicate with associates and customers.


Clearance Required:

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.


Pay Range:

Pay Range $50,700.00 – $78,000.00 – $105,300.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
