Telecommunications Safety Trainer

AscendTek, a telecommunications company, is currently seeking a Telecom Tower Safety Instructor for our Pac-Northwest market. Offices in Kent, WA & Kapolei, HI.

This position is responsible for employee safety, training, and compliance.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must meet minimum regulatory requirements for the course(s) that he/she teaches
• Industry experience in the field
• 25-50% traveling between offices in WA and HI
• Must be able to effectively communicate in a professional and effective manner to all levels of participants
• Proficiency in use of laptop and current training delivery methodologies (PowerPoint, projector, videos, Microsoft office, Sharepoint)
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Safety LMS knowledge

Required Certifications:

• OSHA 500
• NWSA Practical Examiner
• PEAP Certs
• Train the Trainer in Tower Rescue and Tower Safety
• Competent/master rigger

Responsibilities:

• Main responsibility is delivering telecom tower and electrical safety classes
• Presenting specialized telecom and tower safety instruction before groups of 12 or more adults in an enthusiastic, knowledgeable manner.
• Following a presentation and adding relevant personal experience to keep training interesting
• Responsible for clerical and administrative duties related to the delivery of safety, training, and organizational development programs. Document safety training completion.
• Supporting the Manager of E-Learning with training development and course materials
• Continually improve training material to comply with OSHA guidelines and other industry-specific health and safety topics
• Maintain organized training records for new and existing employees and ensure they are updated as required
• Promote safety awareness throughout the company through various safety initiatives

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
