JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position of Telecommunications Project Manager requires a self-starter with experience in designing, pricing and, managing the installation of low voltage cabling systems, and fiber. This position will require travel for site visits.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the company with the design of communications systems.
- Project engineering and design.
- Prepare construction documents.
- Prepare specifications, program requirements and budgetary estimates.
- Coordinate design efforts working closely with our in-house disciplines, architectural clients, and building owners.
- Perform review of submittals and installed systems.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
- EIT or PE beneficial.
- Proficient in AutoCAD a plus.
- Four to eight years of experience in fiber optic aerial and underground construction
- A solid technical base with a desire to learn, to lead, and to grow into senior engineer and project management positions.
- Strong communication skills (written and oral).
- Must present a positive, professional image to employees, customers, and clients in all interactions.
- Must have strong communication skills and experience working with customers.
- Have problem-solving skills and able to think on your feet.
- Have a general working knowledge of computers.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a nationwide background check and drug screen.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Supervisory responsibilities include managing day to day activities of both on-site and remote activities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Office environment and Industrial locations, the noise level in the work environment may be high at times.
PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to carry 60-70 1bs.
- Must be able to work at 28 feet or higher.
- Grasp and manipulate various hand tools.
- Vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
TRAVEL
Travel from home with multiple overnight stays is required with this position.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License during the term of employment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
