Duration: 6 months + ext

• Standard work hours: Mon-Fri 9:00am-6:00pm (OT possible, flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed)
• MVR Check required
• Candidates must have a valid Driver’s License & a dependable vehicle
• Travel Radius: up to 4 hours from Location, milage and time driving is covered
• Client Requirement: Must be COVID Vaccinated

Day to Day:

An employer is looking for an Network Technician in the San Francisco, Bay Area. This position will support facilities management, site security and project engagement with a commitment and desire to satisfy our customer by completing all work at the highest level, always striving for perfection. The candidate must be motivated and self-driven for success. The role will be responsible for racking and stacking of network devices, cable patching, physical layer troubleshooting, equipment disposal activities, installing and troubleshooting Cisco and Avaya IP phones.

Responsibilities:

• The patching cabling between network equipment and customer’s network.
• Can provide network connectivity to the user end devices.
• The installation, troubleshooting and de-installing network equipment.
• Install and trouble shoot cabling
• Can provide connectivity to user end devices
• Provide layer 1 support
• Rack and Stack
• Knowledge on switches and routers
• VOIP
• Wireless Access Points
• Extend circuits from the MPOE through the riser system to devices in the MDF or IDF
• Trouble shoot circuits
• Knowledge of hyper terminal and putty
• Renovations
• Switch Upgrades
• Memory Installs
• VOIP upgrades
• Large scale user relocations

Requirements:

• Requires experience in working in communications closets
• Must be able to perform rack and stack activities.
• Must understand cable patching processes and procedures
• Must be familiar with IP phones and be able to program Cisco phones and Cisco VOIP phones
• Must be able to interpret a customer’s issue in a way that will allow technician to facilitate a resolution

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $28.00 – $30.00 per hour
